As the Official Sustainability Partner of the Isle of Man TT Races, PE is proud to deepen its commitment to environmental progress by supporting a comprehensive government-led sustainability audit.

Commissioned by the Isle of Man Government and delivered by UK-based environmental analysts Aether, the audit will assess how the TT Races and other major road racing events on the Island are planned, managed and delivered. It will evaluate performance against key environmental standards and provide practical recommendations for future improvement.

At PE, sustainability is central to everything we do. We have already worked closely with the TT Motorsport team to measure the environmental impact of the event using our proprietary carbon footprint calculator. This includes emissions from visitor travel, accommodation, local transport, race activity and increased pressure on the Island’s infrastructure.

These insights now support the wider audit, which is aimed at helping the events achieve ISO 20121:2024 certification for sustainable event management. The audit also takes into account key environmental codes set out by the FIM and ACU, covering areas such as fuel use, noise, biodiversity and ground protection.

The Isle of Man is the only entire nation designated as a UNESCO Biosphere. With that comes a responsibility to lead by example. Paul Phillips, Head of Motorsport for the TT Races, explained:

“This audit is about understanding where and how we can evolve practical solutions to improve the event’s carbon footprint. It’s about finding effective approaches that protect the TT’s future while preserving the essence of what makes it so special to race fans around the world.”

For PE, this work forms part of our wider Climate Pozitive programme, which supports businesses and organisations in adopting renewable technologies, improving energy efficiency and offsetting emissions with high-quality carbon credits.

Steve Daniels, PE’s CSO said:

“We have adapted and evolved our involvement with the TT Races to support them in their journey towards sustainability. This mirrors the support and insight we provide to many major organisations in the UK and internationally.”

This partnership is more than branding. It reflects how PE is using its expertise to help shape the future of motorsport while promoting responsible, sustainable innovation.
