Since April 2024, PE has been operating on a 100% low-carbon electricity supply – a major milestone in our journey to provide cleaner, more sustainable energy for UK businesses.

This achievement is more than just a number. It’s a commitment to reducing environmental impact, supporting the clean energy transition, and helping our customers meet their own sustainability goals.

What Does 100% Low-Carbon Mean?

Our low-carbon electricity comes from two certified, traceable sources:

• 86% Low-Carbon Nuclear Energy – backed by Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), ensuring the electricity we purchase is from verified low-carbon generation.

• 14% Renewable Energy – backed by Ofgem’s Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO), proving it’s sourced from clean generation like wind, solar, and hydro.

Our 2024/25 fuel mix:

• Coal: 0%

• Natural Gas: 0%

• Nuclear: 86%

• Renewables: 14%

• Other fuels: 0%

Environmental Impact:

• CO₂ emissions: 0g CO₂/kWh

• Radioactive waste: 0.005 g/kWh
