Clear Business Customers

Clear Business has agreed to transfer some of their England Water services to Pozitive Water, part of the PE Group. Pozitive Water is an established licensed water retailer serving more than 10,000 business customer supply points across England. We’re committed to delivering excellent customer service, transparent billing and ongoing support to help customers manage their water and wastewater services effectively.

If you’ve received a letter from Clear Business telling you your services are included in the transfer and you do not choose to switch to an alternative retailer before your transfer date, Pozitive Water will become your new water retailer. We’ll write to you and let you know when we will be transferring your services. This change is simply about who manages your account and sends your bills. Your water and wastewater services will continue as normal, just as they do today.

Clear Business will be in touch to explain the proposed transfer of your services to  Pozitive Water and to confirm when the change is planned to take place.

Before your transfer date, you’ll be provided further information to help you prepare for the transfer and understand what to expect.

Your Transfer Date

On your confirmed transfer date, your water services will move to Pozitive Water. Your water and wastewater services will continue just as they do today, with no interruption during the change.

Welcome to Pozitive Water

After your transfer, we’ll send you a welcome pack with everything you need to get started. This will include important information about your account, payment options, contact details, and how to access our services. 

What's Happening

Clear Business has agreed to transfer some of their non-household customer water services to Pozitive Water.

Services may transfer in phases as part of the overall process. The information on this page applies to all customers affected by this change, regardless of the phase.

Ahead of the transfer date, we will contact you directly to confirm your expected transfer date and provide any account-specific information relevant to your transfer.

If you don’t wish to transfer to Pozitive Water, Clear Business will explain the options available and what you need to do.

If you’re currently in a fixed-term contract with Clear Business, this will transfer to us.Your prices will remain the same and you will transfer to us on equivalent terms.

If you do not have a contract, your prices will continue to be calculated in the same way by Pozitive Water. You will be supplied on our standard deemed terms, unless and until you agree a contract with us. We’ll contact you to talk about your options.

Your services with Clear Business will end on the date that we take over, and your services with us will begin on the same day. There will be no interruption to your service as a result of this transfer.

We’ll be getting in touch with customers whose services are expected to transfer to Pozitive Water.

If your services are included, you’ll receive communications from both Clear Business and Pozitive Water confirming the proposed transfer and your expected transfer date.

If you are unsure whether your services are included, our dedicated transfer team will be happy to help.

Customer Portal & Invoice Queries

If you move your services to us, everything will carry across on equivalent terms, including your pricing and the end date of your fixed term.

Once your transfer is complete, Pozitive Water will provide services to you under its deemed terms, unless and until you enter into a contract with Pozitive Water.

Your services with Clear Business will end on the date that we confirm, and your services with us will begin on the same day.

Our deemed charges are calculated using the methodology prescribed by Ofwat. You can view our deemed terms and charges here  here. 

You will transfer to us on the same or equivalent prices. If you transfer on the same terms, you pricing structure will remain unchangedYou will transfer to us on the same prices. If you are in a fixed-term contract, your pricing structure will remain unchanged. If you transfer on our deemed terms, your deemed prices will be calculated as follows. With the same methodology prescribed by Ofwat. You can find more details here. Clear Business and Pozitive Water use the same methodology to calculate deemed pricing, as required by Ofwat, and you should be no worse off.

If you don’t wish to transfer to Pozitive Water, Clear Business will explain the options to switch you and what you need to do.

After the transfer, if you are supplied on our deemed terms, you can switch to another retailer at any time without incurring any early termination fees. If your fixed-term contract with Clear Business transferred to Pozitive Water, you can switch to another retailer without any early termination fees at the end of your fixed-term. If you transfer during the fixed-term, an early termination fee will apply as per the terms and conditions you agreed with Clear Business.

Please note that if you have an outstanding balance, Pozitive Water may object to the transfer until this has been settled.

We’ll provide instructions on how to access the Pozitive Water customer portal, where you’ll be able to view bills, submit meter readings and manage your account online.

No, we’ll continue to provide your services on the same pricing and equivalent terms.

If you are supplied on deemed terms, you will transfer onto Pozitive Water’s deemed terms, the charges for which are calculated in accordance with the Ofwat Retail Exit Code methodology.

  • Clear Business Water will bill you for the charges up to your transfer date.
  • After transfer, Pozitive Water will bill you for charges from the transfer date onward.

If you currently pay Clear Business by Direct Debit, please note that your existing Direct Debit mandate will not transfer to Pozitive Water.

If you would like to continue paying by Direct Debit following the transfer, we will contact you with details of how to set up a new Direct Debit mandate with Pozitive Water.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact our dedicated transfer team.

Your credit/debit balance will not transfer to Pozitive Water. Clear Business will issue you a final bill. You will be responsible for settling any outstanding balance with Clear Business Water. If there is a credit following the final bill, you’ll need to speak to Clear Business, who can arrange to refund any credit balance.

Billing, Direct Debit and balances (Avoid Pitfalls)

Meter readings and a “meter health check”

Your water meter is usually located where the supply enters the property. Common locations include outside in a meter chamber in the pavement or car park, in a plant room, basement, service cupboard or near the stop tap. 

If you’re unsure, contact our team and we can help confirm the location or arrange a meter check if needed.

If you already have a meter-related query in progress with Clear Business, it will continue to be handled during the transfer. You don’t need to raise it again unless advised.

Once the transfer completes, you’ll be able to check the progress with us.

Meter reads taken prior to the transfer should be provided to Clear Business so that they can reconcile their final bill.

Any readings taken on or after the transfer can be submitted through our online meter reading form or customer portal.  We’ll send details of how you can access our online portal, once your services have transferred to us.

Submitting a reading helps keep your final and opening bills accurate around the transfer date.

 

We’ll provide instructions on how to access the Pozitive Water customer portal, where you’ll be able to view bills, submit meter readings and manage your account online.
